    Qty % = Qty (%)

    Solution 1: x. 40.40 (x)

    Solution 2: 96 - x. 25.25 (96 - x)

    Mixture: 96.37.40x +.25 (96 - x)

    96 (.37) =.40x +.25 (96 - x)

    35.52 =.40x + 24 -.25x

    35.52 =.15x + 24

    11.52 =.15x

    76.8 = x

    Solution 2: 96 - x = 96 - 76.8 = 19.2

    Answer: 76.8 L of 40% solution, 19.2 L of 25% solution
