    2x = y + 3

    x = (y + 3) / 2

    Therefore, inverse is y = (x + 3) / 2

    y = x^2 + 9

    x^2 = y - 9

    x = sqrt (y - 9)

    Therefore, inverse is y = sqrt (x - 9)
