Sofia made a beaded necklace with 2 white beads for every 5 purple beads. In all, she used 30 purple beads. Explain how to figure out the total number of white beads she used.

    In order to solve this problem, you must divide 30 beads by 5 beads to get 6 pairs of purple beads. Then multiple 6 by 2 to get 12 white beads.
