Write an equation for the following story: Sarah bought 4 puzzles for Christmas presents for her friends. She also bought a book for her mom that cost $7. She spent a total of $23. How much did each puzzle cost?

    1) Be the number of puzzles 4x, the cost of a book waas $7, for a total cost of $23. if x is the cost of puzzles

    then 4x + 7 = 23⇒4x = 23-7⇒4x = 16⇒x = 16/4 = 4, it means that every puzzles cost $4
