Subtract the product of 3 and 4 from 36. then divide the quotient of 9 and 3, subtracted from fifteen

    When it says subtract the product of 3 and 4 it is basically saying subtract 3x4 from 36 so 3x4=12 36-12=24 so yes 24 is the first one

    and the second one says divide the quotient of 9 and 3 subtracted from fifteen

    that just means divide 9 by 3 which which is 3 and subtract from 15 which is 12 and divide that by 3 which is 4 so the second one is 4
