Simplifying square root of 96

    To do this you need to find the prime factors of 96 (2·2·2·2·2·3) now, the numbers that are the same pair up to make one of the numer. So 2·2 = 2 and the other 2·2 = 2 also. Now bring the new 2s to the left of the square root sign and multiply to get 4. now you have 4√2·3 and to finish the equation you just multiply 2 and 3 to get:

    4√6 as your answer.
