There are 6 girls for every 3 boys if there are 63 kids in math class, how many of them are boys? How many of them are girls?

    There are 42 girls because 6 + 3 = 9 and 9 x 7 = 63 therefore, 6 x 7 = 42

    you would want to first add six and three. This would give you nine. 63 divided by 9 equals 7. 7 x 3=21.
