7xy-8x because you distribute the x even if there is another variable inside the parentheses

    The answer is 7xy - 14x

    Explanation:

To distribute, you take the number that is outside of the parenthesis and you multiply it each by the numbers in the parenthesis. So 7x times y = 7xy, and 7x times - 2 = - 14x
