16. 4^2 = 4*4 = 16. All we are doing is multiplying 4 to itself however many times the power states, i. e. 4^3 = 4*4*4, 4^6 = 4*4*4*4*4*4

You simplify it by solving it which means it's 4x4 which equals 16 so the answer is 16
