    Jerry is a chemist, working on a new water sample from an diseased area. the area is about 10 miles in diameter, and almost 60 percent of the population in that area has gotten chicken pox! there is a hunch that it is due to the water supply, and so (cue the experiment).

    Each day, jerry contains the sample in container with proper amount of air holes, and sunlight. the next day, she opens it, and studies how much it grew - plotting it on a graph. she then closes it back up, and waits for the next day. after 20 days, she looked at her graph and saw an exponential increase - a linear function. she then for the next 30 days worked on a cure for the poor water system
