    Step-by-step explanation:

    Amar = 4s + 3c = 12.25

    Dylan = 1s + 2c = 4

    4s + 3c = 12.25

    4s + 8c = 16 / / Multiply both sides by 4

    5c = 3.75

    And we get c = 0.75 once you divide 3.75 by 5.

    So we can now plug in 0.75 in the first equation

    4s + 3 (0.75) = 12.25

    4s + 2.25 = 12.25

    -2.25 - 2.25

    4s = 2.5

    2.5 x 4 = 10

    0.75 x 3 = 2.25

    10 + 2.25 = 12.25

    So Cucumbers = 0.75 and Salsa = 2.25

    Dakota bought 1 salsa so 2.25 + 0.75 (5) cucumbers

    The answer is 6
