    Length of smallest side = 1 ft

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given:

    Perimeter = 60 inches

    Length of sides are 2x, 3x, 5x

    To Find:

    Length of smallest sides = ?

    Solution:

    As we know that in geometry the perimeter of a shape is the Sum of length of all of its sides

    So for our given triangle

    Perimeter of triangle = Sum of its all sides

    Putting the values

    60 inches = 2x + 3x + 5x

    60 inches = 10 x

    Dividing both sides by 10

    10 x / 10 = 60 / 10

    x = 6 inches

    So length of first side = 2 x = 2 * 6 = 12 inches

    Length of second side = 3x = 3 * 6 = 18 inches

    Length of second side = 5x = 5 * 6 = 30 inches

    So from the following result we see that

    Length of smallest side = 12 inches = 1 ft
