    (3 - 2i) ^2 - 3 (i - 2) + 5

    (3 - 2i) (3 - 2i) - 3 (i - 2) + 5

First multiply the binomials, then distribute the - 3, then combine like terms.

    9 - 6i - 6i + 4i^2 - 3i + 6 + 5

    i^2 = - 1, so the 4i^2 becomes - 4

    9 - 12i - 4 - 3i + 11

    16 - 15i
