    The answer is 1560

The results in the survey are similar. None of the surveys appear to be biased, so you should use the results from all three surveys to get a larger sample.

Calculate the percent of teenagers in the sample who chose cats as their favorite pet. Add the responses for cats from all three surveys and then divide by the total number of responses in the three surveys.

    25+24+23 50+50+50 = 72150 = 0.48=48% 25+24+23 50+50+50 = 72150 = 0.48=48%

So 48% of teenagers in the sample chose cats as their favorite pet.

The people conducting the surveys randomly chose teenagers in the town, so you can use the percent of teenagers in the surveys who chose cats to estimate the percent of teenagers in the entire town who would choose cats.

    0.48*3250=1560 0.48*3250=1560

The estimated number of teenagers in the entire town who would choose cats as their favorite pet is 1560.
