A town has a population of 16000 and grows at 4.5% every year. What will be the population after 8 years, to the nearest whole number?

    4.5 * 8 = 36

    160,000 * 36% = 57,600

    160,000 + 57,600 = 217,600

    The population would be 217,600 after 8 years. = )
