How do I solve (z+7) ^2=3

    (z+7) ^2=3

    z^2+14z+46=0

    z={-14+-√ (14^2-4.1.46) }/2.1

    =-14+-√ (196-184) / 2

    =-14+-√12/2

    =-14+-2√3/2

    =-7+-√3

    so it is,

    z=-7+√3

    or,

    z=-7-√3
