The answer to 4/9 times 2/3 is 8/27 because when multiplying fractions you multiply the numerators (top numbers) and denominators (bottom numbers) to get your answer then you simplify but in this case you don't have to.

You would find a common denominator whoch is 9. 2/3 is now 6/9. Your new problem is 4/9 times 6/9 equals 24/81
