Median suitable for non symetric data.

    Eg : Average (median) size

    Step-by-step explanation:

Mean is used as a measure of average / central tendency, when the continuous variable has a symetrically distribution.

When the data is non - symetrically distributed, is skewed; mean is not suitable measure of average.

In such case, median is suitable measure for average.

Eg : Shoe size is skewed towards some majorly prominent sizes, is not evenly distributed.

So, median & not mean is apt measure of average.
