Which of the following is the solution to the inequality below?

-5x - 10 < 20?

    Add 10 to both sides.

    This gives us - 5x < 30.

    Now divide both sides by - 5.

    When you divide both sides of

    an inequality by a negative, switch

    the direction of the inequality symbol.

    So we have x > - 6.
