A scalene triangle has a perimeter of 18a-14. One side is 10a+1; another side is 5a-10. What is the third side?

    Answer: 3a+5

    Add the side lengths given. Then take that number and subtract it from the perimeter and then the number your left with is the missing side of the triangle.
