A box contains 4 chocobars and 4 ice creams. tom eats 3 of them, by randomly choosing. what is the probability of choosing 2 chocobars and 1 icecream

For his second snack, since he already ate one, there are only seven snacks left, and only three of them are chocobars. He had a 3/7 chance for choosing his second snack as chocobar as well. For his third snack, there are only six snacks left in the box but four are ice creams, so he has a 4/6 chance of choosing ice cream as his third snack. 4/8 x 3/7 x 4/6 = 1/7.
