Roberto's toy car travels at 35 centimeters per second (cm/sec) at high speed and 25 cm/sec at low speed. If the car travels for 20 seconds at high speed and then 29 seconds at low speed, what distance would the car have traveled?

    At high speeds, the toy car would have traveled 700 centimeters (35*20=700). At low speeds, the toy car would have traveled 725 centimeters (25*29=725). In the total 49 seconds that it is traveling, it would have traveled 1,425 centimeters (700+725=1,425).
