13. If a seamstress is paid $7.85 per hour and works 18.75 hours in one week, how much is she paid for that week?

    Multiply 7.85 times 18.75. That will give you the answer. You can also eliminate some answers. If she were paid more - $10 an hour, it would obviously be 187.50. So your answer has to be less than that. If she were paid less, $5 an hour, it would be half of the 187.50, or in the $90 range. The answer is A
