The length of a rectangle is 2 in longer than its width. if the perimeter of the rectangle is 32 in find its area

    2w + 2 (2 + w) = 32

    2w + 4 + 2w = 32

    4w = 28

    w = 7

    length = 2 + 7

    = 9

    area = 9 * 7

    = 63 in^2
