    When u have a polynomial with more then one variable ... and this one has more then 1 variable, the degree is the sum of the exponents in each term ... and the degree is the largest sum

    -14abc ... this term has a degree of 3

    2b^2 ... this term has a degree of 2

    so this polynomial has a degree of 3 <==
