    Adult ticket = $4.06

    Step-by-step explanation:

    5t + 36 = 9t + 20

    5 x 36 = 180 = 9 x 20 = 180

    36/5 = 7.20 20/9 = 2.22 7.20-2.22 = 4.98

    5t = 4.98 x 5 = 24.09 + 36 = 60.09

    9t = 4.98 x 9 = 44.82 + 20 = 64.92

    So we know it is 7.20 + 4.98 = 12.18/3 = 4.06

    5t = 4.06 x 5 = 20.03 + 36 = 56.03

    9t = 4.06 x 9 = 36.54 + 20 = 56.54

    t = $4.06
