First we put the sentence into a function
9/10 * x + 6 = 51Well then we solve. 9/10 * x = 51-6
9/10*x = 45
(for me is easier to make the fraction into a decimal ...)
0.9*x = 45
x=45/0.9
x = 50
We check
9/10 * 50 + 6 = 51
45+6=51
51=51
So the answer is x = 50

(9/10) X + 6 = 51 Subtract 6 from both sides (Subtraction property of equality) (9/10) X = 45 Divide by (9/10) (division property of equality) The answer is : 50
