In a drinking competition, Sumit drinks 75 ounces of juice (j) in 2 hours (t). Write an equation in the form of j=rt that represents the relationship between the amount of juice (j) and time (t), where r is the constant of proportionality.

    I'm going to start with the obvious. R is a constant. We don't need to substitute anything for that.

    I will assume that j is in ounces, so j=75. and t is in hours so t=2

    Now 75=2r

    To find r just divide 75/2

    and you get j = (75/2) t
