I assume that you are talking about 2 integers
one of the integers must be negative while the other is positive
we can list integer pairs that multiply to - 20:
-20 1
20 - 1
-10 2
10 - 2
5 - 4
-5 4
now the only pair that when you add them together equals - 8 is - 10 and 2, so
-10 and 2 add to - 8 and multiply to - 20
