    + 6 + 6 + 6

    a (n) = a₁ + d (n - 1)

    a (n) = 7 + 6 (n - 1)

    a (n) = 7 + 6 (n) - 6 (1)

    a (n) = 7 + 6n - 6

    a (n) = 6n + 7 - 6

    a (n) = 6n + 1

The sequence is arithmetic because it has a common difference of 4 in order to make sure the the function would be equal to a (n) = 6n + 1.
