    (m + 3) (m - 1)

    m² - m + 3m - 3

    m² + 2m - 3

    ? = 2m

    Well, what you are doing here is multiplying the two

    m*m=m^2

    m*-1=-m

    3*-1=-3

    the missing term is - m
