A homeowner must reduce the use of his homes electricity. the home currently consumes 25.7 kwh (kilowatt hours) of electricity per day, and the homeowner must reduce the use by 20%. find the amount of electricity that will be used after the reduction in two differnt ways, using two differnt scale factors?

    25.7 kwh of electricity per day.

    must reduce 20%

    25.7 kwh * 20% = 5.14 kwh * amount of electricity to be reduced.

    25.7 kwh - 5.14 kwh = 20.56 kwh * net of reduced electricity

    The homeowner will use 20.56 kwh after reduction of 20%.
