The ratio of cats to birds in a pet store is 2:5. the ratio of canaries to parakeets is 2:3. if there are 30 canaries, how many cats are there?

    30 canaries to 45 parakeets. That equals 75 birds. Divide 75 by 5 to get 15, multiply 2 by 15 to get 30. 30 cats to 75 birds.

    So, there's 30 cats.
