    Usually we strive for a 1% or 5% significance level to reject the null hypothesis. We didn't quite make it.

    That doesn't mean we really accept the null hypothesis as true from this experiment. We calculated the probably it was true given our data was 6%. That's not a booming endorsement of the null hypotenuse. It's just not low enough to rule it out with confidence, at least according to our usual statistical test.

    Answer: We fail to reject the null hypotenuse, which isn't really the same thing as accepting it. But if the only choices on the menu are reject or accept, we've accepted the null hypotenuse.
