X/6=12, we have to eliminate the 6 so that the x is by itself. In order to do that we have to multiply each side by 6. So we get x=72

Since x is being divided my 6 you need to multiply 6 to both sides of the equation to get x by its self so it would look like x=12*6 which is X=32
