You have a cylinder and you want to double its volume. Should you double it's radius or its height, or could you do either? why or why not?

    Answer: I should its height. I cannot do either, because if I double the radius, the Volume will quadruplicate.

    Step-by-step explanation: the volume of a cylinder is

    V = Ab. h = πr². h

    Double h

    V₁ = πr².2h = 2πr². h = 2V

    Double r

    V₂ = π (2r) ². h = π4r². h = 4πr². h = 4V
