    If the function f (x) is negative over the entire interval, then the interval must be from 0 (exclusive) to negative infinity. In another notation, it can be represented as (-∞, 0). To represent this in the coordinate system, all the values below the x axis can be shaded to indicate that these are the possible values of the function.
