1/3 + 1/4=4/12+3/12=7/12

3 x 4 = 12

12/12 - 1/3 (so 4/12) = 8/12

8/12 - 1/4 (so 2/12 as you only have 8/12 left) = 6/12

Answer = 6/12 = 1/2 or 50%
