If the second term in a geometric sequence is - 8 and the common ratio is 2, what is the value of the third term?

    Geometric common ratio is 2.

    Divide by 2 to get the previous 1st term, multiply by 2 to find the next 3rd term.

    Sequence: - 4, - 8, - 16

    3rd term = - 16
