7n-2n+10<3n-16 Distribute the 2 into n+5
5n+10<3n-16 Subtract like figures
5n-3n+10<3n-3n-1 Subtract 3n from each side. (You want the variable on ONE side.)
2n+10-10<-16-10 Isolate the variable. Negative plus negative = bigger negative.
