The local supermarket is selling melons at the price of 2 for 3.00. At this rate, what is the price for 5 melons?

    2 melons for $3

    4 melons = $6

    1 melon is half of $3 = $1.50

    4 melons = $6 + $1.50 = $7.50 for 5 melons
