    Total pounds of flour: 24

Taylor used 1/3 of the 24 pounds.

    So, (1/3) of 24 = 8 pounds.

    24 - 8 = 16 pounds.

Taylor also used (1/4) of the remainder of the pounds of flour.

    So, (1/4) of 16 = 4 pounds.

In total, Taylor used 12 pounds of the total 24 he bought

How many pounds of flour are left?

    24 pounds - 12 pounds = 12 pounds

    Answer: 12 pounds

    Answer: 12 lbs

    Step-by-step explanation:

    24x1/3 = 8lbs (used for fruit pies)

    24-8 = 16 lbs (remainder)

    16x 1/4 = 4lbs (for bread)

    16-4 = 12 lbs remains
