The Surface Area of a car frame is about 200ft squared. What is the Surface Area, to the nearest 10th of a square foot, of a model of a car that is smaller by a Scale Factor of 1/12?

    This is a proportion:

    x : 200 ft² = (1 : 12) ²

    x : 200 ft² = 1 : 144

    x = 200 ft² * 1 : 144

    x = 1.39 ft²
