8+b/4=5
subtract 8 from both sides
b/4=-3
multiply each side by 4
b=-12

Subtract 8 from both sides
8+b/-4=5
-8 - 8
b/-4=-3
And multiply by - 4
(-4) b/-4=-3 (-4)
And the answer which is b=12
