Solve the quadratic equation by completing the square.

x2 + 4x - 3 = 0

A) x = 4 ±7

B) x = 2 ±7

C) x = - 4 ±7

D) x = - 2 ±7

    X^2+4x - 3=0

    Take 3 to the right side

    X^2+4X. = 3

    Get the number with the X only so

    Half of 4 is 2 and 2times is 4 add this number to both sides

    X^2+4x+4 = 3+4

    (X+2) ^2 = 7

    Sq rt each side can't type it it looks like a check mark

    So X+2 = sq rt of 7

    -2. - 2

    X = - 2 + - sq rt of 7
