If A = items no more than 36

Pay for A items = AX

    Pay for A items + Y = AX + 1.5yX

Difference paid for 2 more items = 30

    If more than 36 items produce this week then, X = 30 / (2*1.5) = 10

    Then using X = 10 ...

Last week cost of $480, then

    Number of items produce = 480 - 360 = 120

    120 / 10*1.5 = 8 thus total is 44

Number of items produce in week 2

    = (510-360) / 10x1.5 = 10 thus total is 46
