A pillar candle is shaped like a cylinder with a radius of 1.5 inches. The candle holds 123 cubic inches of wax. How tall is the candle? Use 3.14 for pi. Round your answer to the nearest hundredth.

    pi=3.14

    h=h

    v=123

    r=1.5

    123=h3.14*1.5^2

    123=h3.14*2.25pi

    123=h7.065pi

    divide both sides by 7.065

    17.409=h

    round to hundreth

    17.41 inches

    so plugging in the given values:-

    h = 123 / (3.14 * 1.5^2)
