How do u round to the nearest tenth

    When you're rounding to the nearest tenth you have to look at the hundredths column if the number in the hundredths column is greater than 5 then you round up if it's less than 5 then you round down. For example

    3.46 look at the 6 it's greater than five so the rounded answer would be 3.5

    For example, let's say you have 1.33. All the tenths are in the first place after the decimal. If the second number after the decimal (the number in the hundredths place) is less than 5 (0,1,2,3 or 4) then you will round down. If it is 5 or higher, you round up to one of the closest tenths. So 1.33 has the hundredths place as 3 so you will round down to the tenths place (3) so your answer is 1.3. Let's say you have 858802.05and you are asked to round to the nearest tenth. The number in the hundredth place is 5. So you will round the tenths place up. Your answer will be 858802.1
