Now what you're looking for is the length of the leg between the ground and the balloon. For this you need to use a sin function because with the angle you're given, you're looking for the opposite side and are given the hypotenuse. I'm assuming you know what I'm talking about. So your equation looks like this sin (41) = x/1,503 Now just multiply both sides by 1503 1503sin (41) = x Plug this into a calculator to get an answer of approximately 986.057 meters or rounded 986 meters
