What is the answer for 4 (k-6) - (3k+2) = - 5

    1 Simplify brackets

    4 (k-6) - 3k-2=-5

    2 Expand

    4k-24-3k-2=-5

    3 Simplify 4k-24-3k-24k-24-3k-2 to k-26

    k-26=-5

    4 Add 26 to both sides

    k=-5+26

    5 Simplify - 5+26-5+26 to 21

    k=21
